Psychedelics Meets Permaculture w/ Leia Friedman
July 24 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
We welcome Leia from Boston, Mass. to discuss the intersection of Psychedelics and Permaculture. After an incredible lecture, we will have time for questions and networking. Please make sure to RSVP as seating will be limited. We are asking a $5-10 donation to help support SFPS to become a non-profit!
This talk applies the ethics and 12 principles of permaculture to the Psychedelic movement. Permaculture isn’t all about working the land, it’s a design system that can be applied to social relations and movements, basically a lens that can inform anything that we do, so it’s neat to apply it to something as vast and faceted as the Psychedelic movement. A final thing I like about permaculture is its not just sustainable.. its regenerative. So it recognizes the harm of human action and it seeks to remediate it while also creating livable/thriving conditions

Her work focuses on phenomena related to the human experience of consciousness through the lens of social and environmental justice. Leia is exploring ways to bridge the diverse and multidimensional intersections of psychology, sociology, and ecology while residing at Happy Acres Farm in Sherman, CT.
