About our Host:
Damla is one of the co-organizers of San Francisco Psychedelic Society. Her interest in healing work began with living with a schizophrenic, and misogynist father as a child. She began studying the role of gender, and psychosis, and how exploration of plant medicine, theater & expressive arts, and Buddhism can be helpful as healing modalities to cultivate Empathy, and transform Shame. She co-facilitates integration and women circles, and she offers this space to honor and empower each other with loving witness. Past studies: “Somatic Experiencing: Healing Trauma” with Shakti Rose in 2016, “Mindful-Self Compassion” & “Resilience and Post-Traumatic Growth” with Linda Graham in 2017, “Drugs and Brain” with David Presti in 2018, “Alexander Technique” with Kari Prindl in 2019.
“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
