Working with Psychedelics to Treat Substance Use Issues
A VIRTUAL TRAINING CURATED BY JULIANA MULLIGAN
FRIDAYS, FEBRUARY 4–MARCH 25
1–3:30 PM EST
The San Francisco Psychedelic Society’s Executive Director Danielle Negrin will be teaching about integration practices and processes at this training on March 11th!
The intersection of psychedelic therapy and substance use issues is latent with possibilities and pitfalls. Supporting people in navigating the use of substances in a healing context, after having had problematic patterns with substances, requires a nuanced, harm reduction-informed, and flexible approach. Intended for clinicians and other practitioners who support people who use drugs, as well as those who are interested in psychedelics for their own personal healing and growth.
This course will be an exploration of the benefits and risks of psychedelics when substance use issues are part of the picture. The course will also provide the IHRP (Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy) framework that can be applied when approaching clinical work with clients who are using psychedelics. Be sure to tune in!
